Unique features
Thermo ash NATwood is only oiled on the top side due to its special pretreatment; all other types of wood are oiled on all sides.
Timber generally takes on a silver-grey appearance on its outer surface over time when used outdoors. If this effect is undesirable, this can be counteracted with decking oils from the tilo range.
Larch, a naturally strong timber, is oiled prior to delivery like other types of woof in order to create a weather-resistant protective layer.
Thermo pine is cut into so-called rift cuts and so shows the annual rings. This has advantages in terms of dimensional stability and stretch. Moreover, the timber that is used is almost branch-free, which in turn has a positive effect on how the timber can be worked.
Thermo ash that has undergone thermal treatment offers greater resistance to fungus and pests and greater dimensional stability than untreated ash.
This extremely complex procedure makes thermo ash NATwood an absolute premium material for outdoors. First, the timber is thermally treated, which makes the plants more resistant to fungus and other pests and more dimensionally stable. The patented NATwood process then makes the end product much harder and more stable.
